1 pound Beef MATCH®

1 Tbls. olive oil

salt & pepper to taste

1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced

1/2 cup onion, diced

1 large clove garlic, minced

2 tsp. flour

1 cup  stock

1 Tbls. Dijon mustard

1/2 cup sour cream or non-dairy alternative

Hot cooked buttered (vegan) noodles

Chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Match Beef Stroganoff might look like the most delicious meal, but don't worry it tastes even better than it looks. 

Yield: Serves 4




Heat oven to 400 degrees.

Oil baking sheet with canola oil or spray and spread Beef MATCH till 1 inch thick. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until edges start to get crisp.

Remove from oven and let cool enough to handle.

Crumble and toss with 2 tablespoons olive oil. Return crumbled Beef MATCH to oven, heat for 15 minutes. Set aside.

In medium saucepan add 1 tablespoon olive oil. Sauté onion, garlic and mushrooms till tender. Stir in flour.

Add beef stock and Dijon. Cook stirring frequently until thickened about 3 to 4 minutes.

Stir in cooked Beef MATCH and sour cream; cook until heated through.

Serve over buttered noodles. If desired garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
